I guess this mean that putting the bar on a 1992 ES300 wouldn't be a great idea

yeah, once you install it, youll notice that the hood doesnt even shut nicely, and when opening it, it pops up as the strut bar is in the way. now my cars hood has some bulge on it. really awesome.

I'm using a similiar one like that under my hood, No Clearance issues..
Doesn't work as well as the Solara bar BUT FITS..
