hey there my friend... you're right about half a pint in the gas with a fill up... you the other half in the oil PRIOR to changing it.. run it like a day or two before changing it.. and remember putting 1/3 of it in the brake booster or PVC pipe..

so here's my advise for one can.... 1/3 in PVC or Brake Booster, 1/3(or more) in oil and the rest in gas.. good luck..

Can't you just reduce carbon deposits through the Italian tune-up?

No. And carbon deposites are a bad thing to run that hard with. They superheat white hot & cause pre-ignition. The most destructive thing in a engine past running one with no oil.

Great advice!!! Used 1/2 in gas, 1/2 in oil and did 1/3 in intake 3X. Ran the car about 100 miles and changed the oil and filter. Car has 98K on the ODO and it now runs better and smoother than I can remember. Thanks

I believe I will do the same when I come up on my next oil change about 1000miles or the end of the month, also gonna do a tune up on it so hopefully I will see a huge improvement will keep everyone updated.

At the least you will notice that the engine will idle noticeably smoother.
Wait, just to make sure. Half a can of Seafoam + fresh gasoline into the gas tank (Boy I am gonna get looks at the pump next time)

And the remaining half goes in at the next oil change? Or can I do it without changing the oil?

That's right.
You could drop it in the oil & leave it, but you'd most likely want to change it within afew days of putting it in. Just put the other half a bottle in the oil like the day before you change it.

OK, I did the treatment on the intake twice today. It does seem a bit smoother, although I had been wishing for more difference. Then again, the engine was pretty smooth to begin with, and I really did enjoy running 5000-6250rpm for a couple miles.

I did feel extra guilty about the car spewing a massive cloud of smoke even after letting the engine idle.......

I think I did the procedure right. (?). I dropped the intake tube thing into a container with 1/3 can of Seafoam, and let it suck the thing up. The engine didn't immediately stall, so I turned off the ignition. Sounds okay?

Whatever you do, do not put seafoam in your windshield fluid tank!!!! Whoever said it works in unclogging their fluid lines is full of *****! He's an idiot! And I'm the bigger idiot for listening to him. Now my windshield is full of oily seaform stuff and the lines have seafoam residue in it. My windshield fluid tank cover wouldnt snap on anymore because of its deformed shape due to chemical reactions from the seaform and windshield fluid?

Everytime i use the wipers or windshield fluid.......it blurrrrrrrs the whole windshield out. so dangerous...

Just ran a one can treatment 3 days ago 1/3 in the gas 1/3 in the oil and 1/3 into the brake bolster. Ran it for a few days nice a quick. She runs much better now much better acceleration and sounds a lot better at the idle best $5 bucks ever spent.

With the warmer weather, I decided to treat the ES to premium gas and used up the remaining 1/3 can of Seafoam into the gas tank. At the next on-ramp, I enjoyed the 35-90mph acceleration run and relished the good mid-range punch accompanied by a mildly thrilling rip from the engine. Now, if the transmission was a bit more responsive, had an extra gear, provided more enthuastic upshifts under full throttle, and the exhaust had a more aggressive (or just plain louder) note.......it would be almost as fun as full throttle in the BMW!

the thing i notice about seafoam is that immediately after i do it, the idle is smoother, more power, everything is great but only temporarily. The next day, everything is normal again. Except gas mileage, this one stays, it has helped my gas mileage alot in the past.
