Radiator Leaking!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
My radiator is leaking from a hole in the top and also from the radiator cap. When I bought the cap it turned out the one for the es did not fit and I ended up getting one for the sc. I wonder if it was an sc radiator put in from the factory or if some shop screwed it up at some point and just put in what they had. I think I am going to replace the radiator as I would like to have the right one in there. Anyone know where to get one and how much it would cost. I will put it in myself. I looked at some on ebay. Man there are a lot of different types and costs! What is a good brand and material to get? I have no idea. Also my wife was telling me that when she starts the car it smells like vinegar. I assume this is antifreeze. Any ideas? 93 ES 300 160,000 miles.

For now pick up one of those radiator patch kits from your local auto parts store. It should help, but only temporarily.
I would recommend just getting the Toyota OEM radiator. There are a few CL sponsors that should be able to help you out with a good price. I used an aftermarket radiator in my 94 GS (forget the exact brand name, but I see the same brand all over ebay) and it did the job, but you could visually tell that the quality was no where near that of the original radiator. If you can afford to spend the extra cash on the OEM unit then IMO it's well worth it for the long haul.

It has to be a radiator originally intended to work with the 3vz-fe. It can't be a newer replacement model from the later v6's, ormany of the other newer engines as their pressure system is either non-existant, or not up to snuff.
After a few drives you'll start to quickly overheat because the temperature of the coolant boils 40-70*F too early.
Go to an autoparts store & buy a new one, or chalk it up & go to a Toyota dealer. I got mine a few years ago @ Westwood for $70.
Install a new Toyota thermostat, along with replacing the 2 pressure caps useds on a 3vz-fe. (radiator & engine fill)
