Mystery Rattle and Popping Windshield
As the proud new owner of a CPO 2001 ES 300, I was showing my car off to any and everyone I knew. While taking my co-worker for a ride about a week after getting my ES, we both heard a rattling noise coming from the back seat area. I had just been bragging about how quiet the car was, almost too quiet, when this annoying plastic rattle noise pops up. Needless to say, I went over every possible source, seatbelt housings, baby seat clips, headrests, you name it, I was poking at it to find the darn noise. About a week later, I took a left turn a bit fast and it sounded like the rattle was rolling to one side, then if I took a right turn, you could hear it roll back again. That was all I needed to hear. Got home, popped up the back seat, and BINGO there was the culprit: a small weight filled game piece from a child's game!!! I was so thrilled to have peace and quiet again inside the car. Now I have a new issue. While driving the freeway to work yesterday, it sounded like a small rock from a truck tire hit the windshield. Only problem was, there wasn't a truck or car in front of me. Now it seems to happen several times while driving. It seems that my windshield is making a popping noise that sounds exactly like it is getting pelted with a small rock. Am I nuts or what? Anyone else have this happen?

ur car is haunted!! haha jk.. i have no clue what to say man... yes i have the same car u have and the only problem i have with mine is everyones too.. that damn wind noise!... o well.. hope u find ur solution to ur problem... goodluck...

i had that problem before... seen like a crack in the windshield (From a small dot to big crack), too bad i didnt notice it unitl i see a big crack... where i need to replace my windshield...

Same issue
I just bought an 02 CPO ES and it has more interior creaks and squeaks than my old 91 Accord. I dont know if my noise is coming from the windshield or the dash, sometimes it sounds like its coming from the door panels. Not only that but my tire noise is really bad at 40+ MPH. My dads 99 ES300 is WAY quieter than my car, I mean WTF, I bought a Lexus not a damn Buick! Im taking it in to have it looked at and Ill post results.
