I just got back from vacation, but why are you just mentioning this, we all new that it had an 8.1 0-60 time, which is faster than the 2001 8.3 0-60 time, so I don't know if you tested your car correctly or something, but with the ratings in magazines, it is faster than the earlier models.

How funny...OfficeBoy just joined, and just responded to this old thread...since it pops up on our forum after getting a new response, we all started posting to it again...I didn't even notice the dates until after I responded. I was wondering why this was just coming up though...

Yeah, I still didnt realize it was that old, cause I saw the 7-26, and i was like, wait a minute, why is wantanewlex just bringing this up, then now today i realized that this is an old thread. but the new lex is faster than the old one., .3 was the 2001, 8.1 is the new one.

oh yeah, a bigger and faster engine would make the ES cost more, as does the LS430. a luxury ride with some real power, es price is based on lux, if it was more power the price would have to go up, therefore making the price be too high for some consumers... es wouldnt be the best selling car in america

I think they will make the car more powerful at the same price in a couple years. If they don't, they won't be able to compete as well with their competitor's latest offerings.
