Who wants free swaybars?
I found out that Addco is looking for a 98-01 ES300/Camry to test out front and rear sway bars on. They'll need to borrow the car for about a day or so, but when the finished product is ready you get a free set. I'd do it myself, but they're located on the other side of the country from me. If anybody is around the NorthWest part of North Carolina or Southern Tennessee (or willing to make that drive) then please contact the nice folks at Addco or you can just pm me and I'll set you up with them.
Contact Info:
Addco
1596 Linville Falls Hwy
Linville Falls, North Carolina
Ask for Dan Osborne, and tell him Carlos from Performance Center sent you.

Huh? They already make front & rear sway bars for the gen4 Camry platform. They're either retarded, or trying to drum up intrest because they're not that popular.
Being retarded, or unpopular aside, free is always great LoL!
Good hookup man!

I just hope someone's kind enough to take their car out there for a free set. Then I can finally order one for myself.

People have been buying them for at least 12 months now? Like I said, free is good but this doesn't make any sense. They've had them out for a year, if not years & they're a fraction as popular as any other sway bars. I just don't get what they're going to accomplish.
Again I'm not bashing, free is good.

id love to have addco test my car out as long as they dont hurt anything
im expecting tire wear and such, but thats it, as long as i get the sway bars

Congrats! I'm glad I could set you up with some new toys for your ES. And thank you for doing this... now time for me to put in an order for a set for myself.
Be sure to let us all know what kind of difference they make once you get to try them out. It may not be a Ferrari... but it'll definitely be a lot more fun through the twisties.

only one more stop and i'm done
they'll be on by end of thursday
i promise to post up some pics/info by new years', i have no time between now and christmas, and amazingly, no camera... ugh
kinda bad news though for those of you who haven't looked under your car... like me
to put in the front sway bar, you have to drop out the sub-frame
it gets pretty dicy, but then again, i'm not doing it
as for you certified mechanics, have fun and laugh at the amateurs, if i tried it i'd kill myself
the rear one's a piece o' cake though
anyways ill post up the info between christmas and new years
btw, for those of you who haven't already discovered it, the es300 and uphill mountain highways don't go well together, unless you take off overdrive
damn automatic transmission... ugh

well here's how they do for me
keep in mind my car has 80k miles, so it doesnt ride like its new
most of the change is at low speeds, at high speeds i didnt wanna be testin them too much
steering response is greatly improved, felt mostly at low speeds, just turns back and forth
the car will actually turn instead of compressing and rolling the tires and then turning
at high speeds the car does resist lean a small amount more, but hardly noticeable
if any of yall like controlled slides, these will do alot for you, much easier to kick out the back end, lose traction, etc.
basically a stiffer car, just about average for sway bars
nice though cause i got em free
