Default window seal panel thing 2000 es300

i've got a 2000 es300 and recently one of my friends broke off the panel that snaps in place between the two passenger side windows (i exacted my revenge soon after)
im not sure what exact models of the es have this, but its very annoying once it comes off
i have it duck taped back on because ALL of the snap in connector things (5 total) broke off
any ideas on how to put it back in?
i was thinking gorilla glue or some really strong sealant cause it has to stand up to the air resistance, but im kinda scared to try it

Are you talking about the black B-pillar piece, the one that sits outside on the body between the front and rear side windows? A lot of us have problems with the clearcoat peeling off, and what most of us have done is buy a new pillar piece from the dealer, about $60 from the parts counter I think. Not sure if that's the route you want to go with from a cost-savings perspective, but it's there.

Check here http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...00&catalogid=2 Price is $39 + shipping. I bought one last year after the paint started to peel as lexusk8 had previously noted. Great place to order from. BTW the pillar comes in Onyx Black (202). Good luck.

My gut feeling is that no amount of super glue would be able to hold the moulding in place at any kind of temperature condition. Might have to bite the bullet and pay for a new piece with clips supplied

Cool

The plastic snaps used on interior pieces? They're generic, just go buy some.

Automotive Goop is pretty handy & easy to peel off.

where can i find the clips?
the actual place where they fit in is broken off but i could just melt them in and get em to stay. maybe drill a very small hole and run a steel wire through em... but i doubt it
they will easily fit in to the car... it's just if they'll fit into the piece
im gonna go ahead and try something
better to at least try and fail than just buy a new one now..

Cool

Any autoparts store should have them in little packs. I had to buy some from Autozone the first time I pulled my rear seats out.
