Thanks for the great review, and the following (brief) comments do not reflect on your timely update...however...
Styling...from the pictures, I have to say...AWFUL, this looks like a Ford Taurus which was a big failure in it's original incarnation. The original concept photos were quite exciting but...what happened??? The SC430, while not a favourite car at all of mine, at least isn't so dumpy and dare I say ugly.
The Badge...what's it doing halfway up the bonnet? Did they think to put it on the grille or just above? What was going through their mind? I hope the prototypes are different in this situation. And it appears the grille is not chromed, indeed this model looks down market, a poor mish mash on both the outside..and on the inside...where it looks part GS300, part SC300 from five years ago, anything but a competent together car.
What a disappointment!
Adrian.

Whats up AdrianES300, Couldn't have said better myself
the styling looks cheap looks like an american car, and the SC 430 , the first time I saw it I hated it , still don't like it looks like an Audi TT, I would rather buy an Audi TT and have the original car with that style not the knockoff. Lexus is going downhill as far as styling is concerned the first generation Lexus styling is the best by far classic .

Suspect but not that bad
Although the new styling of the 2002 ES300 might be suspect, it is not that bad. I think that when it is released it will begin to grow on people.
