Doors locking themselves after battery change
I recently had a dead battery in my 95 Lexus ES300. While jump-starting the car, the alarm went off and I stopped it by turning the key in the ignition. After I drove to get a new battery and had it installed, the doors now seem to be locking themselves periodically! Have I picked up a gremlin of some kind or is there some kind of reset I need to do the the system.
The local dealer told me on the phone that the computer needed to be reset and they'd do it for $55. Is it something I can do myself?
Thanks,

You could try unplugging both battery terminals for about 30 minutes. It might technically be too long for everything to reset but it couldnt hurt. Hopefully the door-lock section of the alarm wasnt harmed.
