I'm curious about what the radio is in the 96 ES300s and whether or not the CD changer (trunk mounted) can be replaced with something else (like an iPod) going into the AUX IN where the CD changer is connected.

I've been having a hard time getting information on this vehicle's audio capabilities. Would appreciate it if someone could throw me a bone

There is an FM transmitter iPod attachment that might be more convenient and you could also take it with you in someone else's car.

my problem is that Atlanta has many fairly powerful FM stations that cause interference while moving across the city. I've run the gamut of iTrips and the like and could never find one that had a strong enough transmitter. At this point I just want something going into the AUX IN. The iPod itself will be mounted in the glove box
