Hey, my names Kemar and debating whether or not I should invest 6000k into a ES300or not..I've read a few articles here and there about lexus's, and recieved nothing but the usual, they guzzle gas mess..To cut a long story short, I was just wondering what are some pro/cons that you ES300 owners have noticed with your ES300(90-96 Models)..
Also, what should I check out before purchasing a lexxus? Thank you..
RIP.

92-96.
If you need a sporty car, there are others that can be more sporty stock, but you can always throw in a suspension & the two entire drivetrains go between way overbuilt, and OMG WTF that's so overbuilt it's crazy.
You're not going to find a more luxurious car for the money. They're that good. They also look the best .
They pretty much blew everything in their class (Entry Luxury, and for the early ones sporty luxury) out of the water.
The only thing close would be dropping backwards a few years & buying an even older LS400. More luxury, but a bigger car that cost twice as much new.
All of this stuff has been discussions many times if you search.
All you really need to look at is take a flashlight to the back of the engine & see if the rear valve cover is leaking. It's not a big, or major problem, it's just annoying b/c if it is, the oil will dirp on the y-pipe & smoke.
I would take it and do a compression test to see how the head gaskets & rings are doing, but in all honesty, if it's not smoking out the tail pipe, they're not problems.
