Coolant
Hey, i just popped open my coolant tank because i noticed it was on the "low" mark. i wanted to add some coolant but couldn't figure out what to add. heres my problem:
My coolant was brownish-black.
you guys think its time to flush?
im pretty sure many of the fluids are original.

Ya dude. Your radiator is most likely going to burst at some point if that fluid's been in there half that long. Flush the radiator & engine block out 100% until it's normal looking clear water. The refill it.
If you have a '94 + Use whatever you want, Either Toyota red, Toyota pink, or normal coolant but don't buy into "Long life" coolants - they all need to be flushed every other year. Becuase of that, you're not going to see a binifit from using one thing over the next. Also don't mix Toyota's coolants with anything. It will cause the universe to implode.
If you have a pre'94 Just use regular $2 a gallon coolant from wall-mart. Avoid Toyota's coolants like the plauge. Toyota coolants + iron = problems.
