September Car and Driver
the article said nothing of the new car's looks but was otherwise positive.
The picture in the magazine, a front 3/4 from slightly above the car was not flattering. I don't like the front overhangs of front-drive cars vs. rear drive as it is but this car seems to be even more nose-heavy and the photo from that angle really draws more attention to it.
They compared the car to the new LS but except for the view directly to the rear, I don't see the resemblance.
The new LS is starting to grow on me. No such luck for the SC and the ES (from photos only).
Then again, I've made my feelings clear around here regarding this new ES' redesign.

...did everyone see the Nissan Skyline (new G35) in the same issue?
now THAT's more like it! (styling-wise)
granted, it's competing more with the IS, but I fear Infiniti is going to gain ground on Lexus over the next few years with better styling (on some cars), more power, and a dealership experience, while not quite on par with Lexus, far above anything else out there.

Everyone thought the new 2002 Infiniti Q45 would cause Infiniti to gain major ground on Lexus. Guess what? Hasn't happen and it doesn't look like it will. The Q45 is still selling at only about 500 units a month. And it's not doing to well in reviews either.
