Additional features--includes panoramic roof
I think L-Finesse can be implemented on this model, despite shared platform with the Camry.
In the past, the shared platform was done but body styling was very different...or at least a totally different body, with some similarities. I think L-Finesse can be done, I wonder though if the next ES past this one will be FWD or RWD.

He said..yes - its a mid sized version of the new LS. He told me 2 new colors are being added and said the MSRP with ML audio and navi would make the car right at 42K absolutely fully loaded with additional features not currently available on the current model.
Thats what he told me. I dont know how much of that is true and coaxed up

$42K seems a bit steep, top of the line now is about $38500, of course we don't know what's additional...

Im disapointed theres no gray color being offered. Lexus hav always had a gray color offered on all their sedans... IS has it, LS and GS all have it. surprising ES wont have it.

Colors?
I'm not too sure, there seems to be a duplication on that list, Black pearl and Black Oynx, the black pearl may be the gray. Whats a paint code starting with a 1 or 2 in Toyota speak?
Personally I dig the current Blue Shale Mica....I'm a sucker for medium blue/silver metallic.
Where did I find the colors list? Page #1 of this thread...

42K seems about right. It will probably have a starting price of around 32-33K. Remember that a fully loaded IS350 is around 42-45K as well. The ES will more than likely have the same features as the IS(probably more considering its the LUXURY entry level model) so 42K sounds about right. In line with the current price increase being implemented on all Lexus models.
The ES was always considered to be the little brother of sorts to the LS. Not as many features, but you get all the comfort, smoothness, and roominess(to a certain extent) that you would find in the bigger LS.

I wonder if it will debut with the smart card or smart key fob. Im sure it wont have nearly as much features as the new LS but im guessing it will have what the current ES has plus some new cool features.
At $40-42K fully loaded, I think its a good buy for a mid size luxury sedan.

Was at the delearship today. Sales manager told me he ordered 3 2007 ES350 today. Even showed me a sneak peek at the order sheet. Pricing hasn't been determined here yet he said. He ordered 2 "base" and 1 Premium.
