used wheel spacers before? without restudding the lugs

so has anyone safey used wheel spacers without having to re-stud longer lug bolts?

I used a big set of spacers with my slicks, dont really like them just because they have a bad rep. but they work.

thanks sir for the reply. any problems with the length of the lug studs? they just dont seem to have very much left if i add a spacer.
