Default headlamp warranty?

Hi, I recently purchased an '02 ES300, 28k, certified. Very happy with the car. I have discovered through this great site that it is a common problem to have the inside of the headlamps haze over. The "oven method" fix is really awesome, explained very well here.
Has anyone had success getting replacement under warranty?? Anyone know if there a recall or service bulletin on this issue?? I still have a few months of the original warranty left and of course the 3 years of certified warr. If I don't have to go through an all day affair repairing this myself....
No, I haven't contacted the dealer yet. Wanted to be well informed before calling. Thanks...

If your certified warranty is still active, I'd say go straight to the dealership and use it to your advantage. I know plenty of GS owners who had factory warranties use them to get their hazed up headlamps replaced at no charge.

first, are you sure the haze is on the inside?

Mine haze over but it is on the outside and it is easily removed with Mequiars 2 step Mirror Glaze.

Thanks StevieJ !!! I had tried a mild plastic polish previously with no luck. After reading your reply, I took a deep breath and got very aggressive with Meguire's Cleaner Wax. It did the trick. The plastic is EXTREMELY hard, I am truly amazed it didn't scratch. The headlamps look great now!! Thanks for everyone's help
