Default How much did you pay for your STRUTS to get replaced?

I bought some KYB's off ebay, with the Strut Mounts too, and I called a couple shops here in Orange County, and MAN, they want like $800 to install them for me.

Said labor calls for 6 1/2 hours??? Does that sound right to you guys?? And if you know somone here in Orange County that can do it for cheaper, let me know.

Thanks

That seems WAY too long, I could do my own car in ~2 hours, and that's without air tools.
Look for another mechanic.

Cool

For all four, labor should run about $250.
You're screwing up if you're rolling stock suspension. You don't need struts. You need struts & springs. Springs start sucking as the years pile up too.

Hate to say it guys but just looked it up in two different repair manuals mitchel and all data and that is correct it pays 6 1/2 hours labor plus a wheel alighnment . i work at a shop and i don't agree with it. i know it takes about three hours. this is why it pays to do your own work. but also if you do the math that shop is charging you $123 pre hour that seems a bit pricy!!!!!

Default HOLLY Sheeeet the dealer wants $1100

I called them and they said that it was 5 to 7 hours and with the alignment, it came out to be $1100. That’s the Mission Viejo Lexus. I’m going to keep looking.

I had a couple recommendations PM'd to me. Anyone have any more shops in Orange County that they recommend?
