On Friday, April 7, I bought my 1999 Lexus ES 300. I paid a bit more than him, but still way under retail. It has 84,400 miles on it.

Interestingly, I also noticed a clunking noise when I drove it around yesterday. At first I thought it was something shifting in the trunk, but nothing's there. I'll have to have this looked at, but overall, it was a sweetheart deal, and I love Lexus! (so far).

It's my first Lexus, although I owned a distant uncle (a '75 Toyota Celica) back in '85, and even then, I was impressed with Toyo products. I hope my faith remains strong.
Nice color by the way

Here's my baby

You'll love it! Just get regular maitenence and you're good to go. I'm about to hit 84K miles and do the Timing belt and spark plug replacement. I'm also getting the brake pads/rotors changed out and suspension replaced while adding an additional strut tower brace plus the TRD rear sway bar to improve handling. You don't have to do all that (suspension stuff) but if you do the car takes on an almost BMW handling approach and if you're performance oriented like me you'll love the car even more! Congrats on the purchase. I've had mine about a year now and love it! Its good to see more pearl ES representation on this board! Let's go Clublexus! Sorry if I thread jacked your post by the way but I get excited everytime a new ES member comes on board! Just dont' get bit by the mod bug like me or else...... well you'll find out

Try an alignment and have them check your suspension
