i think you are getting the better end of the deal for $10k. unless theres sentimental value. can't put a price tag on that. have you checked edmunds to get the value of your car?

or check KKB.com (Kelly Blue Book) for the value of your car as well.

The thing is, i know the entire history of this vehicle, and that it has been treated extremely well, with every single maintainance performed on schedule to the tee. it is in absolutely excellent condition, and I would not sell it for anything less than $10k. I am fine keeping this car for another 150k miles.
When i just had the t-belt changed with the water pump and tensioners, i asked my mechanic to show me the waterpump and belt; both of them still looked brand new. I love this car. But, for $10K, i start to think about it and consider selling it for this price. anything less, forget about it. This generation (IMO) has the best styling, and the reliability of this car is phenomenal. I've had zero problems with it. this car rocks. that's why my friend wants to buy it. it rides/looks/feels like it did in 1997.
But if i end up not selling it to him, i will be happy, too. Cuz, what else am i gonna get for $10K? nothing that i'm absolutely sure about as far how it's been taken care of and the sort. I'd just have to put it towards something brand new, and that 's still gonna cost me a $#!t load of moolah. Buying a brand new car is one of the worst investments for money that one can do. As soon as you drive it off the lot, the value has gone down ~ $3k.
