Unhappy

Ever since i have bought my Es300 i have been having probs with it over heating. I have had the head gaskets replaced and also my heads looks at and everything seems to be fine. The only time it over heats is when i am around town and i have my A/C running, but when i am running down the freeway i can run my air fine. Also i have changed my coolant caps. I was wondering if there might be a prob with my fan or with my radiator. The fans in 92 are they ran off electric or hydrylics of some type, i just need some type of idea what it might be.
Thank Jmorris_92

The fans are electric. Have you checked all your radiator lines for leaks? You may have a problem with your water pump. Is your water level constantly dropping or is it stable? You might also want to clean and flush your radiator to remove any debris.

I have no leaks in my lines, but my water level keeps dropping, But also , my temp guage does not work so when it over heats it comes out the over flow and that is how i lose water. Do you think cleaning my radiator will help, also, the fan speed, is it supose to run real fast. Cause it does not run that fats like a normal car.

Start your car and watch for the fans to come on. There is a sensor near the alternator that goes bad, this sensor "tells" the fans to come on. Unplug it if your fans are not coming on and they will stay on until you can have it replaced. Common problem. To check the fan motors, use a jumper wire or paper clip to jump OP1 and E1 in the underhood diagnostic port. This will turn the fans on. If they fail to come on your fan(s) are possible bad.

I AM RIGHT.
