Aem Short Ram Intake on Es300?
I assume this will work on my 94 es300 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-S...57477842QQrdZ1
Anybody tried one of these before? Would it be worth it or would i end up just losing horsepower?
Thanks

I've read some info on the Secret Weapon R intake and it seems like their tubing increases the intake air velocity...I'm not sure how much more performance gain you would get but I want to try out their intake someday ....

Total load of dung. Always has been. It's like a K&N filter. All marketing, No substance.
*Most intakes gain nothing under 5 thousand.
*It's not uncommon to loose power with them.
*At max, you're looking at roughly 4% *peak power* on the best intake on god's green earth under the best conditions on all of these Toyota v6's.
Either build your own cheaply where you can atleast make it do something, or buy one because it looks pretty.
It's just soooooo little power you're dealing with. Like I explained here.
You're talking so little pressure difference.
Which is why I am so adimant about intakes. If you're going to *buy* one, buy one because it's shiney... Just dont' expect anything, because that's pretty much what you're gonna get. Same statement goes for the entire cat-back exhaust. Replace it because you want something that sounds better. Not because you want more power.

AEM makes pretty intakes.
i like having mine not only to screw with the guys who do my oil changes(wheres the air filter?) lol but because after you remove the resonator from the intake the car has a more aggressive sound and better throttle response.

like it's all been said before, intakes change the look and the sound of your engine. No performance gains should be expected. On my old acura integra, i put it on because, well, how can you own a performance import and not have one when you're 17?? it was cool
