Fugly winshield wipers
My car has some seriously ugly winshield wipers. The metal on the blades are chrome for some reason when I bought the car. I haven't gotten around to chaning them, but now I want to get rid of this ugliness.
Do I have to buy Lexus specific wiper blades or can I go to Walmart and pick out some regular ones? I live in California where we get nice weather year round and I use RainX during the winter so visibility isn't a problem.

I've been using the PIAA super silicone for 4 different vehicles. Great Quality. Lasts well over a year even in the Florida Sun. Visibility is Super important to me, especially in the rain.

Not necessary
Nope, you don't have to by Lexus/Toyota wiper blades.
You can just go down to the Autozone or Advance and look for a replacement. With so many choices out there, I've yet to find something that performs better than OEM
Bosch - I've used Bosch Micro Excel many times. The use to sell the refills separately, but I can't find them anymore. Bosch were acceptable replacements, easy to find and install. But over time the rubber gets weathered and needs to be replaced just as with any other wiper.
Anco - Never really worked well for me. Even new, they chattered across the windshield, and I couldn't understand why.
Trico - I bought one blade (driver side) and left it in my trunk just in case
Now before you judge a wiper blade, be sure to give it a chance. Clean your winshield. Anything on the winshield can hinder the performance, such as bug tar, contaminents, Rain-X, wax. tree sap, etc. A glass scrub is a must - goes beyond what Windex can do. Then there are those variables you cannot control such as rock chips or pits in your winshield which will naturally cause streaking. Oh well
