Come to think of it, i don't think i need to buy coil springs, do i? I think I just need to replace struts and strut mounts and that should remove the clunk/thunk/squeaking sounds rite? My springs feels like its still in good condition.

right... if you're happy with the stock springs then no sense in spending money on new ones. Do make sure to replace the front strut mounts, though.

I was just getting ready to write exactly that. Aftermarket springs would definitely have affected ride quality to varying degrees, no matter which brand you went with. Replacing the mounts and the struts should go a long way to resolving your noise issue. You may also want to check the lower control arm busings. These can cause noise too, as well as affect braking and handling.

How are the Eibach springs as far as the car sitting level? I'm thinging about switching to them because the springs I have now are just too low for the city. I want to make sure the front and back fender gap is even.

I want my gap even as well but I want the front end to sit a little lower than the rear. i want to have have a slight raked appearance. I dont drive too much in DC so I'm cool.

Where you at in MD?

Eibach doesn't make a spring for the ES300, the only one they do is the 1" drop which sux, you need the 2" to make it look good IMO.

Any suggestions on 1.8" - 2" spring that provides a symmetrical stance.

I'm gonna have to go with Leets on this one...go with the tanabe df210 springs. Its a 1.8 in the front and I think 1 in the rear. I have had the df210's on my car for almost 3 years now and they have never let me down. If you have subs in the rear (I have a single 12 with a very heavy box) the rear should sit no more than half an inch lower, so the drop is actually perfect IMO. Here are some quick pictures I took as reference. Hope they help. (excuse the bad camera skills)

make sure you get aftermarket struts to replace your stock ones if you plan on getting the df210's. My stock shocks (had 50k miles on them) blew out after a month and I ended up replacing them with kyb gr2's. The gr2's with df210's give a slightly stiffer ride, but overall still smooth. This is coming from someone who drives 100+ miles a day through houston highways and downtown houston, which is notorious for potholes and bad roads.

Hey PlatES300, have you experienced any "bottoming out" with these tanabe df210 springs? The drop looks really great!

Ever since I replaced the stock struts with the gr2's, I have never experienced any "bottoming out." The only reasone I bottomed out with stock suspension is because the struts were blown. Even on roads with alot of dips and what not, no bottoming out here I think the df210's go great with gr2's
