Hi everyone, I'm a new user and I was hoping that someone can help me. I drive a 1992 es300 with about 150000 miles on it. I just bought it and it was running great. About a month into driving it i noticed that it would idle really low sometimes. Then one day I was driving home on the freeway and when I came to a stop the car just shut off. My dad told me it was probably just because the air condition was on full blast and the stereo and the car was just working too hard. But this has happened to me a few times now and it always happens when I am driving for at least 20 minutes then come to a complete stop. I noticed today also that the rpm needle seemed to be stuck for a second. The car was still running and it accelerated fine but while I was accelerating the needle stayed at 0. I was wondering if this has anything to do with my previously stated problem. If anyone can offer me advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Clean the IAC valve, EGR valve & throttle body (Might as well take the entire upper intake off & clean it & change the plugs...)

Check for vacuum leaks.
