Talking 180's and SpinOuts

I'm feeling a bit mischevious, I have a 2000 ES300...and I want to know how one would do a 180 in an ES300, and how would one do a burnout or a spin out or something like that. Thanks for your time.

I wouldn't recommend doing either. First of all, both will destroy your transmission, second it is more difficult to do with a front wheel drive car.

Yeah, listen to Johnny Mo. Front wheel drive just seems like such a weak design to me. Everything is crammed in a tight little space, and I'm scared that stuff will break. You would definitely kill your tranny. I would never try something like that in my car. Rear wheel drive is a whole other story. Those things were built for performance, and the spinouts and burnouts, etc. that come with that performance.

Dont bother doing a burnout -- you'll get a lot of wheel hop, and you'll look stupid when almost no smoke appears.

Darn tootin'. There's no reason to mess up a perfectly good Lexus.

I agree with MyLexRokZ. My ES has done great burnouts and surprised a few onlookers at the same time. Just drive the hell out of it. Of course, this is being spoken from someone who put hydraulics on their "perfectly good Lexus", right ramsee1?

I did a 360 burnout, and landed in a tree I might add. Big Bill.

Default You Can Do It!!!

It's actually quite easy to do 180's in a FWD car. Just speed up a bit(to about 15-20mph) cut the wheel to either side and pull the E-brake. Voila-a 180!

As far as peelouts: Brake torque, apply the brakes & apply the gas slightly and let the brake pedal go. If you want smoke, pour some bleach on your tires before you peel out. It creates smoke!

Why would you even want to in such a gorgeous car? It's such a classy and refined car. It reflects the persona of the owner. Don't destroy a perfectly good Lexus. Next, people will want to put neons under the car and name plates on the rear deck.

People already put Neons under their Lexus's and name plate's on the rear deck!

Doing 180's and peel outs will accelerate a vehicle's death, but who cares if someone else does it to their car? I don't. As long as they aren't doing it on public roads with traffic around, I'm fine with people destroying their Lexus's.
