I would look in your manual and see what the wattage is on those lights......
the bulbs your looking at draw 110 watts which i would assume is alot more than the wattage of the driving lights it could melt your harnesses. sounds like a good idea but dont know if i would do it.
thats my 2 cents, anyone else chime in

It sounds like a good idea , but in practice the mod won't yield the expected results from a DRL perspective. The DRLs draw 50% wattage from the high beam bulbs, so the light output from the PIAA bulbs will pretty much be similar to that from the stock DRL bulbs. So if you're planning to change the color of your DRLs, this mod won't work.
However if you're looking to put in brighter high beams, then this is the way to go, although I would shop for other lower priced brands like Sylvania, Razo, etc.

I have used many of PIAAs products including these bulbs. I actually am running them right now in my high beams that at 50% output are my DRLs. I have run them previous and got 2 years of service from them then. Next on my trial list are GT-X (5000k) fog lamp bulbs in H3.

no they do not draw 110 watts. They draw 55 watts the same as the stock bulb. PIAA's marketing scheme for many of their bulbs including the Xtreme White bulbs states that bulb uses 55 watts but emits the same as a 110 watt bulb.

sorry dude, any bulb you put in there is going to be yellowish to way-off white looking. The DRLs work at 50% output, no way around that. The PIAA Xtreme Whites are awesome when used as high beams. Sylvania Silverstars were just as good and 1/2 the price. Usually they are a good price at Wal-Mart. Both the PIAA and Silverstars looked the same when in DRL mode.
you can get good prices on PIAA at:
The TireRack
The Performance Center
