depends what you want to do. with my 1997 ES300, i got it for 6k at 165k miles. it is now at 190k and you've seen what i've done to it in the other thread. but i tried to keep it cheap. the stock wheels were corroding and leaking air so i got the sc430 wheels for 150. the struts were really bad so i replaced them with better KYB struts for about 125. the clear corners were 30. and my springs were 150. so most of the mods were just replacing broken parts with better parts. and i think i can sell the parts if i want to.
the way i think of it, i'll probably drive the car as long as i can until it dies on me, because with that mileage and condition it'll be hard to sell anyway. you might be in the same situation with a salvage title. i can't tell you if it's worth it, but i'm just telling you what i did and you can decide from there. hope this helps!

if you plan on keeping the car and driving it until it dies out on you, then I say mod away. Since its a salvaged title, the chances of you being able to re-sell it is very slim. At 80k miles, you still have a long way to go mileagewise. The car isn't worth much with a salvaged title, so reselling is out of the question becuase you'd be losing a lot of money even though the car runs fine. Keep it till it dies on you and mod away

LOL thats what this thread was about. cuz it doesnt worth much if i sell it later on. and i was gonna keep it for couple years then give it to my lil bro and get a new car but then i might just keep it. cuz the es300 runs so smooth and nice, and i got attached to the vip style. so i guess its worth it if i keep it good. cuz iplan to just work for like a year beforegoing to college and ima be a marine reservist. so i'll just eat less and stay home more next year to save up for it
