Default Cold Air Intake for 1996 ES?

Hey all....I'm the new guy here, and I'm just wondering if any of you out there know if there exists a cold air intake for my 1996 ES. If there isn't one made, have any of you fabricated your own? And if you have, how did you make it? Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Cool

Weapon-R, Apexi Take your choice. And they both suck power wise, but unless you want to make your own... Stock is already a CAI - there is no effective power to be gained with an intake. Only sound.

Buy a hose coupler, Buy a few feet of stainless steel pipe & put a filter on the end of it.

Thanks for the advice. Being that the stock setup is already a CAI, would a high-flow filter such as a K&N give me any noticeable gains in power? Or would it just increase the amount of crap being sucked into my engine?

take off the resonator if you want something different.
search AEM for the same year camry for a COI.
you wont really get any horsepower gains but seems as if you might get a touch faster throttle response.

The K&N sucks too. I used one and my engine light went on, slipped the stock one back in and solved my problem. The K&N filter sucks because it needs oil to trap the dirt. On this one site, I was reading a thing about the K&N filter, it said that the dirtier it gets, the better it filters, (WTF?) Why? Because more dirt already clogged helps the "new" dirt to not get past the filter. Kinda stupid.

Cool

Exactly 3000
You've also got O***s that refuse to warranty the engine off K&N "type" marketin filters. Because they're so often overload with oil (Even from the factory) it get's on the MAF wire & throws the MAF's off.
Nissan does this, along with a few others.
