Arrow Wire color ID's for radio ('95 es300)

I've learned that it's nearly impossible to find a proper wiring harness for an es300 with cd changer/amp combo (even though a certain retailer assured me the one i ordered would work..)

I'm here attempting to take the wires from my aftermarket head unit and connect them to their counterparts.

I can't use much of Aldente's thread on installing an aftermarket head unit because I will still be using the oem amplifier with speakers.

My task is to connect my new head unit, and use the composite outs for my amp. how do i go about finding a diagram or color codes for the wires?

Aldente posted this which looks promising, only most of the wires are not labelled.

could i just apply the colors in this diagram?

okay how about this:

has anyone ever put an aftermarket head unit in their 95 es300?
did you use a wiring harness or splice the wires directly?

surely someone on here has upgraded their HU and can advise...

Cool

Spliced in on my 93.

Oooooo man, probably not the best idea to stick with the OEM amp. ANY aftermarket HU is going to be able to drive harder, and with less distortion than the stock AMP.
Also keep in mind that the stock amp is using low level inputs. If you go putting a normal speaker output through it - it's going to sound like **** - bigtime. (Not to mention eventually toasting the amp & likely the weak stock paper speakers at the same time.)

That is, unless your new head unit has real pre-amp outputs you can distingish into the basic 4 channels. At which point, you're probably find, provided the signal is close enought o what the stock amp normally wants.

Yes, that is the OEM wiring diagram.
