Default Clunking noise on front end...possible cv joints going bad?

i cant figure it out. It seems to occur mostly if i back up and turn the wheel all the way, then drive forward and straighten and then a clunking/clicking sound comes in the front. It happens almost every time i back up and then go forward. How long do the cv joints last? I dont know..maybe its not even the cv joint, could it be something in my suspension or a wheel bearing?
