Go to http://www.kbb.com, punch in the necessary info for the '03 ES, and you'll get a reasonable market value for the car. Since this is your uncle's ES, I'm sure he'll give you a terrific price you can't refuse
As far as pros and cons of the car, you gotta do some homework buddy. Search within this forum by using keywords such as "es300 good", "es300 bad", etc. Only true way to determine an honest opinion is to take the car for a test drive. Test the acceleration, brake slow, brake hard, play with the controls, do whatever. Hope you get the idea.

Your profile says that you got a 2000 GS300. If I were you, I would rather keep the GS and save the money. If you are coming from a non-Lexus vehicle, then it makes more sense.

Nonono, that is a mistake, that was my ride, but i gave it to my mom, because her Volvo 940 got totalled(she made it out without a single scratch on her) and im looking for a new ride, so thats why she gave me 15k to buy a car

The ES would be 4 years old next year instead of 7 like the GS!! and for the same price, EVEN THOU i like the GS more, it would not be a good choice because idont know how the previous owner treated the car, of if something is wrong(since i dont live in the USA i cant use carfax)

15K is an excellent price for an '03 ES with such low mileage. I just traded in my like new '03 ES with ALL the optional equipment(Mark Levinson Audio, Navigation, and rear spoiler) for an '07 ES350 and I got approximately 23K. This car had only 16,000 miles.
Does this car that you're buying have any optional equipment?
In any case, knowing the cars history is worth it's weight in gold.
Good luck,
Alan

You want to see if its a good deal for next year, look at what a 2002 ES300 is worth:
http://autorapido.com/product.php?product_id=4647
So next year the 2003 model should be worth that, and for 15k ITS A PRETTY GOOD DEAL......10k less
