hello everyone! first time posting!
i've been looking around for a 94-96 es300 for about 2 weeks now and i came across one that i'm really considering. it has 80,137 miles asking $4,900 firm. here are the problems......
needs new timing belt and i'll probably change the water pump at the same time. no signs of it leaking though.
needs new front struts, i heard a slight knocking while test driving.
engine mount is bad
there are little dings here and there, and a wavy dent on the drivers side back of the wheel well, not very noticable. otherwise no accidents and has a clean title.
there was a little residual oil but not too sure if it needs a new valve cover gasket.
the climate control lcd is flickering
fuel gauge backlight doesn't work
needs new antenna and motor
needs new back tires, but i will probably replace all 4 at once
the engine hood shock things are going out
everything else looks okay, just did a car fax report, looks good. the a/c is blowing cold, cv boots aren't cracked. trunk is clean, and i also saw a car cover in there as well. leather is nice, no rips or major cracking. original radiator is in great condition, and i let the car run in idle with the a/c on for a good 5-8 minutes and the water temp was well below 50% and didn't move.
with my research i've heard these are all common problems. my question is do you think it is worth it to fix given his lower price? i know a guy that can give me a discount on parts at a toyota dealer so i'm looking at labor costs.
i love the low mileage and it's the pearl white/tan color scheme that i'm looking for. it also has the yellow circle fog lights that i like. please let me know!
thanks!

It's boarderline. By the time u do repairs & maintenance, you're passed the car costs by a couple hundred bucks.
The ceveat is that nearly every used car is going to do the same thing.
Buy whatever floats your boat.
