Default Spacing Wheels

I just installed my new 18's the other day and so far they fit perfectly with no rubbing. However I think the rears sit in from the wheel wells too far so I would like to space them out a bit. I'm wondering how far I can do this before I have a problem with hitting the body. The wheels are 18x7.5 with a +40 offset and 225/40/18 tires. BTW will I have to put in longer studs if I add spacers?

This is the only pic I have of it so far, and yes I know I need to lower it, I have k-sport coilovers to go on it, but I want get the wheels just right before I lower it.

i think they have spacers that have holes for really short and specific lugs that they include so that you can bolt the spacer down. the spacers also have theyre own set of studs in which you bolt the wheel too.
but those may be too wide.

for example

i know its ghetto, but if your only trying to get a little bit more width a friend of mine used washers.

ps: wanna sell your ksports

If you are going to attempt to use spacers I would suggest you get hubcebtric spacers. I had a problem clearing my front brake caliper and bought a set from H&R. I originally used some cheap spacer but it would make the car vibrate at certain speeds.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to get the K-Sports installed this weekend and then decide if I will space the rear 3 or 5 mm. I also picked up some HID's for my foglights to match my headlights so I will get some pics up on Monday on how everything turned out.

you should do the coilover install yourself. then you can adjust them to perfection! lol well hit me up if you have any issues. when they do put them on make sure they are adjusted on the side of softness instead of being so extremely stiff. just a tip

I am installing them myself, no sense in paying someone close to the cost of these to install them when I have a lift and a little know-how.
