Would it be possible to connect a non-Toyota based CD changer to my car? Im wondering if the wires that connect to the changer are for individual functions such as skip forward and skip back. Basically, I have the CD changer from my Taurus just sitting around and I want to put it to use if possible. The changer that came in the Lex is busted.

What Im asking is, do the individual buttons on the stock stereo have their own wires going to the changer, meaning, could I connect the skip forward wire from the stereo to the skip forward wire on the taurus cd changer and have the changer skip forward?

Does anyone know what I mean by this, or am I just crazy?
