Default problems W/ ES

Lately seems like the car 92 es300 has been running with a very high idle........at 65 its at around 2 1/2 rpm's is that around normal or a little high because as soon as i let off of the gas it drops considerably. And ive heard people saying on here that something with the power steering has something to do with the car overheating sometimes whats the correlation between that, my car has been overheating lately and for some reason was low on oil. Info needed urgent
