Rubbing issues with 20s on my ES330

oh yeah, where do you get "smaller wheels, smaller sidewall" the smaller the wheel the bigger the sidewall would have to be to make up for the overal tire diameter. hence 19" wheel would use a taller profile tire than a 20" wheel would.

Just because you have a smaller wheel doesn't mean you HAVE to have a larger sidewall. Just insures you that the wheel will have a less time of getting dinged if you hit a pothole even though I don't think you would in the first place. Bigger isn't always better. Especially now with gas, screw huge wheels.

smaller wheels doesn't mean you HAVE to have larger sidewalls is right, but would you run a 17" rim with 40 series tires on a 05 ES330? it would leave a huge wheel well gap all around, not to mention how much it would throw off your speedo. certain wheel sizes needed specific sidewall sizes to stay within spec of the speedo. whos worried about gas, its going down as summer is ending. if everyone was so worried about gas, they would buy economy cars.
