Was curious if a '00 ES300 with 67K should be experiencing suspension issues. With 67K would the shock be needing replaced. There seems to be a higher than usual degree of rough, bumpy, bouncy ride with a noticable sound from underneath rear seat when going over multiple bumps or rougher road. Any insight would be appreciated.

Definitely get the rear suspension checked out. One or more parts like the strut mounts and strut assemblies may need to be replaced due to wear and tear. It's not only the number of miles driven, but also the age that factors into the condition of a suspension part.

Thanks for the information regarding strut mounts and assemblies. This really does help out when I go and get it checked out. I am trying to decide whether to take to a Lexus dealer or to a reputable import auto repair. What do you think?

It depends on the reputation of the place. For me, Toyota (In Sacramento,CA) had the better rep than Lexus. The Toyota guys know what they're doing, but the Lexus guys keep bringing up more issues. And one more thing is that the dealer charges A LOT for a job. But I trust the Toyota guys more than the Lexus guys.
