Hello All,
I've posted previously in the SC forum, but now realize I want a sedan with more room. This has led me to consider the GS and ES models. I'm considering a '97 ES300 with 149k, loaded leather, heated seats, etc., and a clean Carfax. Asking price: $6,800. My other option is a '93 GS300 with 177k, loaded with Nak sound, 12-CD changer. Asking price: $5,700. I'm leaning toward the ES at this point, which is a trade-in to a Lexus dealership, but I'd be buying it directly from a broker who bought it from Lexus recently. Anything particular I should look for? Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies to my initial question re: the '97 ES300 I'm considering. Turns out the seller faxed the maintenence records to me, and the alarm bells are going off in my head from what I'm reading. Turns out there's an issue with the brake vacuum hose on this model. There are 4 separate repairs that state "Unknown/Replace Brake Vacumm Hose/Tighten Nut" in the past 23k miles, and the last 3 repairs were done almost exaclty 3k miles apart! Is this a major concern like it seems? All the work was done @ a Lexus dealership. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
Thanks again
Thanks again
