Can '94 fog lens be cleared?
I searched and searched but got alot of unrelated results. I did find one thread that said it would be alot of work to crack it open and clear them. So is there a direct replacement for the yellows? I don't like the yellows at all and we get fog here every 2 years or so. I haven't removed them yet as we just bought the car today, but they look exactly like my 3000GT's fogs. What are my options? I'd like to stick with the same design. Thanks.

Exactly what that thread u found said. Open the projectors & remove the yellow ion filter. Still looks hotter with the filter. :P Ask the GS owners that have the yellow ion fog covers everyone else get's jealous of LoL!
Ahwell. To each, his own.
Short of taking the filter out. It's always going to be yellow.

I don't want to **** anyone off here, but I always thought the yellow looked bad IMO. I've been putting HIDs in every car I own for the past few years, low beams and fogs, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to lighting.
Well in the thread it says it's a b**ch to crack one open, are they?

Not too bad, but they can be a pain in the ***. Keep in mind lights get hot, it's old plastic & hasn't been un-mated in atleast 12 years.
Sure you can do it.
I'd like to see what HID's would look like pumped into that fog lens. If ya doing an HID retrofit (Don't fotget cutoffs in the projectors so ya don't blind people plz.) I'd love to see a bulb pushed in there & a picture, or two.

Haha, funny guys(to any that's waiting in the shadows). The lens itself is yellow, there is no "yellow ion filter". But it all worked out fine as I'm parting out a 95 3000GT in my garage and the fog lens off of that is a direct replacement. EXACT fit. So if anybody wants to swap their yellow fogs the lenses out of 94-98 3000GTs will fit. The ES300's cracks right open with a screwdriver. The 3000GT's requires you to cut it open, a dremel will work fine. Then unscrew the bracket holding the lens.
I searched and searched but this board's search function is the type that gives you many unrelated results. Some boards are too picky, this one's too generous.
