It sounds like the serpentine belt may need to be replaced. These belts are just like any other wear and tear item; they degrade with age and use. Plus, the belt is made of rubber, which tends to dry out as the years and miles go by.
The belt is pretty easy to replace yourself. You'll have to loosen the locking and adjusting bolts which hold the generator and pulley together, which will give the belt some slack for it to be pulled off. Check out this thread for more info on changing serpentine belts. Good luck

like lexusk8 said, replace or tighten the loose one. Make sure you got no fluids leaking on either belt. Check them for dryness and cracking on the back side.
Incidently, I found it to be the PS belt in the winter that squeals a little in extreme cold, gone when the engine compartment warms up.

The serpenine Goodyear belts are call "Poly-V"
http://www.goodyearbeltsandhose.com/...tCarSearch.jsp
Search on the 2002 ES300 for the belt numbers..
They are accessed by removing the right front wheel.

copy, invest $20 in a Haynes shop manual for you 02 ES. www.Amazon.com
It will answer alot of you DIY questions.
The PS pump has to be loosened and moved to remove that belt. Then retightened to tension the belt.
The Alternator has to be loosen and retightened to remove the other belt.
