my mechanic didn't mention any other problems or issues with my head gasket leaking oil. but i know that is a common problem for this engine along with the motor mounts which i was aware of and i knew they were bad so i told him to replace if it was really necessary.

if you want to check out the condition of your motor mounts here is what you do, it's really simple.

pop open your hood, turn on the engine, pull the e-brake, step on the brakes and put the car in reverse. while holding on the brake, step on the gas so the engine moves. (reason for popping open your hood). give it a good amount of gas so it does move and if you hear a 'clunk' your motor mount is toast. also put it in drive and gas it again.
