Default Just purchased a 1997 Lexus ES300

Hi, I just purchased a tan exterior, tan interior 1997 Lexus ES 300. I live in PA and made the deal for $10,750 dollars from a small dealer. The car has 50,800 miles on it. The car was and old ladies car who recently passed away and the daughter traded it in for a Caddilac (its a Caddy dealer where I purchased it from). It has Like new tires, power seats, moon roof, v6 motor. The inside is like new, not one crack on the leather seats, not one stain on the interior, this care really is in brand new condition. On the outside it is like new, i thought it was a new one untill I got out the car and looked up close. The exterior has no dings or dents, the trunk is in new condition , the spare was never taken out, still has the first aid kit, and under the hood it looks brand spanking new. The carfax says it was a corporate fleet lease vehicle, then the 2nd owner the daughter traded it in. The dealer said there was LCD lights notworking in the stereo, and he sent it out for repair. So when I get it in a few days it will be fixed. They changed the oil and put a brand new inspection on it.

I want to feel good about my purchase, im 25 and just graduated college and this is a reward for myself, since im the first one who graduated in my family history.

Did I get a good deal? Is this car reliable? Anyone have good experiences???

Sounds like you did well with the car buy. The ES300 is a very reliable car when well maintained. Congrats on your graduation, congrats on the car, and welcome to ClubLexus!

You gonna spend lots of time in this forum to suit up your car. Welcome to the forum, i'm new too. Just got a black 2000 lexus ES300 Platinum edition from and individual seller for $9,300. But my has 88,000 mile on it. Still run alot better than my father's 03 Honda CR-V with 28,000 mile.

A 2000 Platinum for $9,300? That's a steal! 88,000 miles is nothing. I got 255,000 miles on my formerly owned 1992 ES300. The only thing with 88,000 miles, is that the car is almost due for the 90,000 mile service, which should include replacing the timing belt, the water pump, the spark plugs, and more. This is expensive.
