new 1996 es300
I just got a new 1996 es300. It has alot of miles, 147k but it runs extremely well. Im really lovng this car but I need a few minor repairs, and want to get some rims for it.
Searching this forum, I see most rims are 17-19". I am looking into purchasing 18s, but what size specification would fit? I want the fat rim - thin tire look. The car is stock height, and I dont plan on lowering it.
So what size will fit. 18x7.5? 18x what? and What are some ratings for those thin treadwall tires? Do they blow out easily or are they just as good as normal tires?

Mine are 18x8's, with 225/40/18.. not the smallest you can get, but the best looking if your not gonna lower it. 215/35/18 look stupid cause theres too much room on a stock suspension. Not really any negatives on the 18's, ride might not be as nice as stock.. but its not bad.
