I have a 2000 ES-300 and the trunk latch button next to the steering wheel (and the gas cap cover switch) no longer works.

The wireless button on the key opens the trunk, so the latch and motor are fine, just the button in the car no longer works.

Any idea where to look first? Is there a fuse for this (where??).

check the button in your glove compartment. if that is pushed your trunk release wont fire off.
