Question on removing my Battery cable...ES330
Hi,
I own a ES330 and for some audio job, I need to remove my battery cable for about 1 hour to perform the job. Will this cause any problem?? I am installing DICE IPOD Int Kit. I opened everything to do it the other day but I had an emergency that I had fix the whole dash back in together... later when I read the manual it says
("Disconnect both battery terminals. These cables must
be disconnected during installation to insure proper
initialization of the DICE module when the DICE when it
is connected.")
I am just worried if it will reset other car electronic equipments like Airbag or such.. anybody has any experience with this.. would really appreciate it...
Thank You

Every once in a a while I disconnect my battery cables to reset the ECU to defaults. This way it will relearn my driving. I also had to disconnect it to install the PIAA HID bulbs. The airbags were not effected, however you will lose your radio presets, the memory seat settings and the time on your clock.
No problems if you disconnect in the proper sequence. Negative first, then postive.
Reconnect in the opposite sequence, positive first then negative.
