Smile Re-painting Ur Lexus

Hello all,

Recently got a 2003 Lexus. Gr8 Condition/lowmileage ( ). However, just realised during a recent detailing, that there were many small/tiny paint chips/marks.

I was wondering on where to get the car re-painted- dealership or other body shops? How much does a paint job cost both delaership and body shop?

Does anybody know the color standards for the Lexus ES?

Any response will be much appreciated.

Best regds

What color shade is the car? the lexus dealership can tell you for sure what color it is, but so can many people here if you provide more detail, obviously the dealerships gonna be the most expensive, but its gonna be very nice quality paint job as well. Depends on the body shop.. theres everything from cheap macco (dont reccomend) to expensive nice body shops that will be stock like paint jobs. Doubt it'll be worth it for small chips, all daily driver cars will get small chips and dings.. Depends on what you want I guess..

Cool

First, understand that dealerships do absolutely 0 form of bodywork. When they do, it's the negative kind. (Whopps I just bumped into the 1/4 panel doing engine work & scratched it with my pants buttons)

Paint repair itself is exceedingly easy. I near constantly have one, or two fresh sratches, or chips on my car with new touch-up paint that I've not gotten around to wet sand back to level. (And you'd never find completed repairs on my car either...)
The best thing you'll ever do is learn how to do it yourself with $10 worth of paint & wet-sanding paper. 1000-1500-2000 grit. http://www.guidetodetailing.com/arti...p?articleId=27
is a good, quick beginner guide.
