so i'm thinking about getting rid of the 93 and getting a 2000-01. wats the difference between the coach & platinum edition? i want the wood steering wheel & HID lights. it sucks that none of these come with a trip computer
any issues on these? my 93 has been great

Platinum is the highest level... the best one to go with, i really dont like the leather seats of the coach. i dont have any of those editions, but i do have the wood steering wheel on my 01 es300. I just swaped my headlamps out for the HID ones... the hid es300's are very rare and hard to find.

did u do the wood steering wheel u r self? wen i test drove one the guy at the lexus dealer said it has to be either coach or platinum. how much was the hid kit?

most of the '01 es300's came with woodgrain steering wheel and i found the oem es300 hid headlamps w/bulbs and balast on ebay.

Instead of getting a whole HID headlamps, can i just get the conversion kit that cost around $200?

i bought my 2001 es300 with woodgrain plus hids and low miles from a dealership for around 19000 out the door. good luck. i believe i have the coach edition. i have a garage door opener memory seats. the only features im missing is heated seats and heated mirrors and nakamichi sound system unfortunately

how do i know if it has the nakamichi system? don't they all say lexus premium sound system next to the clock? do the outside mirrors dim like the inside one? i tought they all had heated mirros...

My 00 ES platinum ed have nakamichi, all mirros dim automatically, heated seat, garage opener, wood stering wheel except HID.
