You change the filter two or three times, depending on it's quality of build..

Then, top up the oil level.

The oil filtration levels off around 5,000m to nothing.
One of the benifits to relocating them. You can easily dual filter, or bypass filter. You also get to change the oil filter without looking so muhc as a full cup of oil (per filter)
Normal m1 synthetic tests well out to 12,000miles, maybe alittle more. Flush an engine then try the EP. It's got 3x the starting uao's as m1 synthetic has. It oughta last alittle longer.

TBN is the akaline additive to neutralize acid byproduct produced during combustion process, when it is ~2.0 the oil must be changed since the lab margin of error is +/- 1.7

M1 5w-30 EP on 2004 RX330 (3mzfe) after 8611 miles. TBN = 2, the oil is done.

I am using using 2 bottles of M1 5W30 EP as part of my witch's brew (some additives and M1 0W40 also being used), with the addition of the 5W30 EP, I am noticing a little more consumption than when I was not using it.

Then again, I do somethings people don't normally do with their 1MZFE RX300s (see at left).

A 2005 Solara owner recently posted his Used Oil Analysis result. 3mzfe engine, M1 10w30 regular synthetic for 5171 miles, TBN is a low 2.8.

Great so that's two. There are alot more Toyota v6's showing good wear @ 10000-12000 miles.
