I dont have any subs now.. there were recently stolen, but yea, the box is made of 1" MDF and fiberglass, weighs 100 lbs easy, w/o the subs. I did replace the struts when i replaced the springs, bout 10,000 miles ago,.. no problems.. but cant remember problems before then eather.. but theres no way that sub is lowering you car enough to make it rub, prolly doesnt really affect it at all.. and by the way, i dont have a spare tire, so that does releave alot of weight.. The offset is based on where the actual inside of the tire mounts up to the hub, if it has a 0 offset, that means that the tire mounts directly in the center of the wheel, so a 8" rim with a 0 offset would be right in the middle, when the + offset means that more of the rim is going to be tucked around the caliper.. which would mean a smaller lip, a - offset means more lip and the wheel will stick out further, depends on your setup, but cant tell you my exact offset, but wanna say its like a positive 35ish.. and they are 8" rims, so theres gonna be about 6.5" lip on the inside of the wheels that you dont see, andf my lip is fairly small, bout an inch maybe..

sricenbaw, why did you have your struts and springs replaced in the first place if you had no probs with them? just for performance? i think today i am going to try taking out my spare too. so sricenbaw do you think i should take a chance and replace my struts? how much did it cost you? oh yeah when the tire salesman pushed my car up, down and lifted it to test out the struts, the car bounced up and down quite a bit (if that helps)
thanks
