Hello Guys,

I want to know if this feature is enabled in your ES 300.

Description:

When you put your car in drive and go over 30mph the door will be automatically locked.

When the car was put in parking mode the doors will be automatically unlocked.

Your Responses should have

Year : Model : Feature (Yes/No)

If this feature is enabled please let me know how to turn it on or turn it off.
In previous posts there is a description about programing but it doesnt work on my 98 ES. If there is any other way please let me know....

2001 ES300: No auto-lock feature

FYI, this factory feature is not available until the 2002 ES model.

my wifes 97 ES has it when u put in drive & take foot off brake the doors lock & when u put in park they unlock.

...her car has a prestige alarm & remote start so I dont know if that is a feature that came with alarm or factory

^^ It sounds like this feature is included with the aftermarket alarm & remote start installed in your wife's ES. Very nice

My car's doors lock 2 seconds after the engine starts, unless a door is open!

Yeah but does your car have an aftermarket alarm system? That could cause this to happen whether you use it or not.

I think you can take it to the dealer to get it disabled with a Lexus Scantool,I have disabled that feature in some Toyotas with the Scantool!!

Oh yeah I forgot the owner's manual sometimes show how to disable it..
